NEUQ, founded in 1987, is a component of NEU located in Qinhuangdao. It has 10 undergraduate academic schools with 37 majors covering disciplines in economics, literature, science, engineering and management. Its graduate school shares all doctoral and master discipline resources of NEU. Engineering and Materials Science entered ESI Global Top 1% Disciplines. NEUQ and NEU share the same motto "Striving constantly for improvement and behaving in conformity with truth".

III. Application Qualifications
1. Non-Chinese citizen in good health.
2.Over 20 years old.
3. Bachelor’s degree certificate
4. HSK 5 (180 points) or above for the majors in Chinese medium, if you are applying for self-sponsored programs without HSK result, you must apply for self-sponsored Chinese Language study first; For the majors in English medium, you should be a native English speaker or come from countries with English as an official language, or provide English test result such as TOEFL/IELTS.
Note: The "Education and Work Background" section should be filled in starting from high school and continuing until the application date without interruption. If you haven't studied or worked for a period of time, please write a situation description and upload it to other attachments. The applicant should list their parents or spouse as relatives.All the information filled in should be complete and true. No educational or work experience should be concealed.
NEUQ will conduct a preliminary review of students' original passports, visas, academic certificates, transcripts, educational and work experience, etc. at the time of registration. Only after the review is passed can the enrollment procedures be processed. After enrollment, a review will be conducted in accordance with the national enrollment regulations. If the initial review or review of the admission qualification is not passed, the admission qualification will be cancelled. Those whose admission have been cancelled must purchase tickets at their own expense to leave China within the validity period of their visas.

4. Fee
(1) Application Fee for self-sponsored applicants: RMB 400
(2) Tuition fee for self-sponsored students:
Major on humanities: RMB 20,000 per academic year
Major on science and engineering: RMB 25,000 per academic year
(3) Accommodation fee: 40 RMB/person/ day
(4) Insurance fee: Self-sponsored students need to purchase insurance according to the requirements of the school. You can choose the insurance plan. Insurance fee is at least 1000 RMB/person/year.
(5) Payment method: bank transfer, bank card, etc.
(6) Payment date: Students will receive payment notice after admission. Please pay the fee according to the specified time.
V. Scholarship for Self-sponsored Students
1.How to Apply:
After registration in the second semester of the first academic year, you may apply for the Freshman Scholarship. At the beginning of the sophomore, junior, and senior years, you may apply for the Academic Excellence Scholarship. Notifications will be posted on the university's official website.
2. Self-sponsored Student Scholarships:
Requirements for the New Student Scholarship
To be eligible for the New Student Scholarship at Northeastern University at Qinhuangdao, you must be a self-sponsored, full-time master's student who has completed registration for both semesters of the first academic year and has no outstanding tuition or accommodation fees. You must satisfy one of the following academic criteria: either maintain an academic average of 70 or above from your undergraduate studies or have published a professional academic paper in a formal publication. Furthermore, you must possess an HSK Level 5 certificate or above. This scholarship, which covers 50% of the annual tuition fee, cannot be held concurrently with the Academic Excellence Scholarship or the Excellence Scholarship within the same academic year.
Requirements for the Academic Excellence Scholarship
The Academic Excellence Scholarship is designed to reward self-sponsored, full-time master's students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance during their studies. To qualify, students must maintain a clean disciplinary record, have no outstanding tuition or accommodation fees, and must not have any failing grades or unauthorized absences exceeding 3 instances during the academic year. The selection is based on the student's comprehensive academic performance for the previous academic year. The scholarship is awarded at two distinct tiers: First Class (covering 50% of the annual tuition) and Second Class (covering 30%).
Requirements for the Distinction Scholarship
The Distinction Scholarship is a prestigious award aimed at recognizing students with exceptional achievements in specific areas. To be eligible, students must demonstrate either exceptional academic excellence or outstanding contributions in areas such as student recruitment and the promotion of Chinese culture. The scholarship fully covers all tuition fees and accommodation expenses.The Distinction Scholarship cannot be awarded concurrently with the New Student Scholarship and the Academic Excellence Scholarship in the same academic year.
VI. Entrance examination and admission review
NEUQ will organize the entrance examination according to the requirements. Please pay attention to the registration information of the subsequent examination. Register and participate in the entrance examination on time. Each school/college will assess students' academic ability through interviews, material review and other forms. A1: No.
Q2: How many students can win the scholarship?

A7: No. This form is only for PhD programs and not for master.

Q14: How should I prepare the references?
A14: You need two references issued by professor or associate professor in either Chinese or English. The content in the references should include the study objectives and requirements in China, as well as your comprehensive ability and future development evaluation. The references should be issued by the professor or associate professor in the university you graduated usually.

Q16: I am a self-sponsored student and have personal life insurance. Do I need to buy the insurance?
A16: Yes. According to the Interim Regulations on Colleges and universities requiring foreign students to purchase insurance, personal insurance cannot be used as documents for enrollment registration and residence permit application in China. After you are admitted, the school will inform you of the details of how to purchase insurance.
